What will my gift do for the Atlanta Symphony?
Your support goes directly to the Orchestra’s Annual Fund, which helps support our educational programs’ everyday operation. This means that your gift will fund everything from Concerts for Young People and Family Concert Series to educational materials for teachers and programs like Musicians in Schools, which bring Atlanta Symphony Orchestra musicians directly to our schools’ classrooms for master classes.
I want to give online by credit card. How do I get a receipt for tax purposes?
Your gift is routed through a shopping cart just like any other online purchase. Once you complete the transaction, you will be directed to a confirmation page, and a confirmation email/donation receipt will be sent to the email address you provided. Be sure to print and save this receipt for your records. Also, don’t forget to let your friends on Facebook and Twitter know you’ve made your donation – your receipt will have links to both web pages, so you can spread the word!
Why focus on small gifts? Don’t you get larger gifts from corporate sponsors, foundations, and other donors?
We are grateful for the support of our many contributors: individual donors, corporations, and foundations. This campaign is focused on a larger amount of smaller gifts which can have the same impact as a larger corporate gift. We realize everyone is challenged these days, from government to small businesses to individuals like you. By contributing as little as $5, you can be a part of helping support our education programs and initiatives, while also helping to expand our community of music-lovers.
What is included in the grand prize?
The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra will provide the following:
- Delta airfare for (2)
- (2) night hotel stay in the vicinity of Carnegie Hall
- (2) concert tickets to the Orchestra’s April 30, 2014 performance at Carnegie Hall
